Jazz Cruise with the Castro Trio, Aug. 25

Welcome aboard the brig Tre Kronor for an evening of sailing and jazz.
We cast off and set sail while letting the sounds of jazz flow out over the river. We’re joined by good food, great company, and three talented musicians from Gothenburg on tour.
The Castro Trio performs music inspired by the pioneering jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and the early European jazz tradition. The music takes us back to 1930s Paris, and with clear influences from swing and European folk music, it creates a warm atmosphere where joy and melancholy meet. With virtuosity, playfulness, and strong ensemble playing, the trio interprets the legacy of Django’s music—where acoustic guitars, double bass, and vocals intertwine to create a dynamic and intimate sound.
During the evening, you’re more than welcome to join in the sailing, or simply sit back and enjoy the experience. Our dedicated crew will help you get settled, tell you about life on board, and let anyone who wants to help out with steering the ship.
Good food is an important part of life at sea, and our talented chef serves dinner and coffee. We promise you won’t be disappointed. Please be sure to let us know about any allergies or special dietary needs when you book!
