Legacy gift, will, and donation
When you make a donation to the Briggen Tre Kronor Association, you can be sure that your gift will be well taken care of, benefiting our operations and our unique vessel, the brig Tre Kronor af Stockholm. The association is non-profit and operates in accordance with the purpose clause of our statutes.
Memorial Gift
Relatives and friends of deceased members and shareholders can choose to honor the deceased with a donation to the Briggen Tre Kronor Association.
Payments should be made to the association's Plusgiro account 87 36 63-9.
Please remember to include your own name and "In memory of NN...".
The association operates with entirely non-profit administration, which is why we request that the handling of thank-you letters and similar matters be managed by, for example, the funeral home.

Will
By leaving a legacy to the Briggen Tre Kronor Association, your personal commitment lives on. In a will, the purpose can be specified to apply to, for example, youth sailing, maintenance, or other areas. Please note that needs may change over time. You might consider formulating it as "funds should primarily go to… secondarily to similar activities or where the funds are most needed".
Through a will, the association can receive, for example, cash amounts, securities, real estate, tenant-owner apartments, and movable property. As a non-profit association, we are exempt from capital gains tax on the sale of shares, funds, real estate, and tenant-owner apartments, which means that the entire gift goes directly to the Association without deduction.
Things to consider
A will must meet several criteria to be valid. A will must be in writing, dated, personally signed, and witnessed by two persons present at the same time. The witnesses must not be related to you nor be named as beneficiaries in the will. They do not need to know the contents, but they must understand that they are witnessing a will.
We recommend consulting a lawyer when drafting your will. Sometimes your bank may also be able to assist.

A simple donation
You can easily make a donation to the association using Swish: 123 361 57 62
Your payment will then go to the association's so-called Tryggve Fund for the vessel's maintenance.
You will not receive a separate confirmation other than the "receipt" on your mobile phone.
