Åland Cruise: Stockholm–Mariehamn, September 28–30
Welcome aboard the brig Tre Kronor for a two-day relaxing sailing adventure across the sea and through the archipelago!
After boarding in Stockholm, we cast off and head out to sea, setting course for Åland and Mariehamn. We sail through the archipelago, sit back and enjoy the scenery, the company, and a good book—or get actively involved in sailing alongside the crew.
By evening, we’ll reach the coast. We’ll let the weather and wind decide whether we should find a place to spend the night and spend the evening socializing on board and ashore, or continue our long sail through the night. Anyone who wants to can take a night watch, or simply let the waves lull them to sleep.
The next morning, we’ll start with a hearty breakfast before continuing our journey. Perhaps someone will have gotten up early to watch the sun rise over the horizon. We still have many miles ahead of us through the archipelago and across the Sea of Åland, so together we set sail again. On the second day of the trip, we begin to feel at home on board, get to know one another, and settle into the pleasant rhythm of life on a sailing ship, where life is simple and the outside world slowly fades away.
If the wind is in our favor, we’ll catch sight of the red cliffs of Åland during the day, and we can spend the last evening of the trip at anchor, perhaps taking a rowboat out for a spin. Or we might continue our journey for one more night, and anyone who wants to can try their hand at steering the ship as we sail under the stars. Either way, we’ll spend the evening socializing on board, and it’s with a touch of sadness that we’ll watch the port of disembarkation approach!
Once we arrive in Mariehamn, the crew will tell us about activities and sights on land. And we part ways knowing that this was probably just the first long voyage on board.
About Life On Board
During the days, as a guest, you are warmly welcome to participate in the sailing as much as you wish, or simply lean back and enjoy the experience, the company, and the surroundings, perhaps with a good book and a cup of coffee. Our dedicated crew will help you settle in, tell you about life on board, and allow anyone who wishes to join in sailing the ship.
Together with other guests and the crew, you will form a diverse group, both in age and background. This usually creates a familiar and pleasant atmosphere on board where everyone feels welcome.
Good food is an important part of life at sea, and our skilled chef will serve you all meals, plus coffee and snacks! We dare to promise that you will not be disappointed. Please remember to inform us of any allergies or special dietary requirements when booking!
You will sleep in a regular bed in our comfortable 2- or 4-berth cabins, shared with your fellow sailors. On board, you'll find most of the amenities we are used to: power outlets, toilets, showers, laundry facilities, etc.
