Åland Cruise October 1–3: Mariehamn – Stavsnäs

CHANGE – Disembarkation will take place at the Stavsnäs winter port at 3:00 p.m. CEST (local time).

Welcome aboard the brig Tre Kronor for a relaxing sailing adventure lasting several days, where together we’ll sail farther than we usually do!

After boarding, we cast off and head out into the archipelago, setting course for our distant destination. We glide between islets and skerries, and then out onto the open sea; we sit back and enjoy nature and a good book, or actively participate in the sailing alongside the crew.

In the afternoon, we’ll dock at a suitable natural harbor and spend the evening socializing together on board, or we’ll continue our long sail overnight, giving anyone who wants to the chance to try a night watch—or simply be lulled to sleep by the waves. Good food is a central part of life at sea, and we promise you won’t be disappointed—as long as you let us know about any dietary preferences when you book.

The next morning, we’ll start with a hearty breakfast before continuing our journey across the open sea or through the beautiful archipelago. Perhaps someone will have gotten up early to watch the sun rise over the horizon. We still have many mil ahead of us, and together we’ll set sail once more. We’re starting to feel at home on board now, getting to know one another, and it’s with a touch of sadness that we see the port of disembarkation approaching! Once we arrive, the crew can tell us about activities and sights ashore—at least those related to the sea. And we part ways knowing that this was just the first long voyage on board.

During your time aboard, you are warmly welcome to be part of the crew and participate in the sailing as much or as little as you like. Our experienced crew is on board to teach you everything about how square-rigged sailing works, as well as the ship’s history and the craftsmanship involved in traditional vessels.

You’ll sleep in a fixed berth in our comfortable 2- or 4-berth cabins, which you’ll share with 1–3 fellow sailors. There will be up to 16 guests who, together with us, will form a diverse crew in terms of age, background, and sailing experience. We think this is a great way to create an inclusive and friendly atmosphere on board where everyone can learn from one another.
