Tryggve Martinsson is one of the people who has worked the longest with Three Crowns of Stockholm. He joined us early in the construction process as part of his rehabilitation from substance abuse. After working on the ship as a craftsman for a couple of years, he became the one among us responsible for finding sponsors for tools and materials. When Three Crowns of Stockholm Once he began sailing, he was appointed foreman, with overall responsibility for the ship’s tools and supplies.

Alongside his work for the brig Tre Kronor, he also volunteered with young people and adults who, like himself, were trying to break free from drug addiction and crime, and his importance in these contexts can hardly be overstated.

To honor Tryggve’s memory and continue the work in his spirit for Tre Kronor af Stockholm, we have established the Tryggve Fund, with proceeds earmarked for the maintenance of the ship and for sailing trips with young people.
