At the end of April, one of our members contacted the board, wishing to present a gift to the association. It concerned a contribution to our fixed costs; the conversation was about several hundred thousand SEK, and he asked us to send him bank details. The board then saw in the membership register that Torbjörn Lövgren, who lives in Nyköping, would turn 86 on April 28, which led us to quickly decide to present him with a painting as a thank you.

Unaware of Torbjörn's payment, our chairman Korhan Koman went to Torbjörn on his birthday and presented him with the painting, a giclée reproduction of Allan Palmer's watercolor of Tre Kronor af Stockholm from 2013.

At the same time Korhan presented the painting, an amount far exceeding our expectations was in the association's account! Torbjörn said: “It's more fun to give money now than to bequeath it!” Torbjörn has been a member since 2017 and last sailed with us in July 2024.

On behalf of the entire association, we extend a big and heartfelt thank you to Torbjörn!
