SUMMARY:The Finnish Archipelago and Estonian Shores—Long-Distance Sailing from Mariehamn to Tallinn, July 27–31
DESCRIPTION:Welcome aboard the brig Tre Kronor for a five-day sailing adventure where we’ll venture farther than we usually do under sail! \nAfter boarding in Mariehamn, we’ll cast off, set sail, and head east. The voyage to Tallinn offers varied scenery and many exciting opportunities for stops along the way.\nWe’ll let the weather, the wind, and our whims guide where we make our stops. Perhaps we’ll wake up to the sight of Finnish islets on the horizon, or end the day by dropping anchor at one of Estonia’s many sandy beaches.\nDepending on the weather and wind, we’ll head out to the open sea or navigate among the islands—the journey includes both archipelago and open-sea passages. In the inner archipelago, we’ll cruise between islets and skerries through narrow and exciting archipelago channels. In the evenings, we can stop for the night and spend the evening socializing on board or exploring what the island has to offer. If we’re lucky, we’ll start the morning with a morning swim while breakfast awaits. Out at sea, we’ll experience sailing as it used to be—the real deal—back when sailing was the only way to travel across the water.\nIf you’d like, you can actively participate in sailing alongside the crew. If you’d rather sit back with a cup of coffee and a good book, you’ll soon find a comfortable spot on deck to stretch your legs and gaze out over the horizon. Before long, we’ll all have settled into the pleasant rhythm of life aboard a sailing ship, where life is simple and unhurried, and the outside world slowly fades away. Enjoy the sail, leave everyday life and the mainland behind for a while, and let the ocean waves rock you.\nOnce we arrive in the cultural city of Tallinn, the crew will tell you about activities and sights ashore. For those who don’t want the trip to end just yet, we recommend staying behind on your own to explore the city’s historic alleys or the miles-long Estonian sandy beaches. \nAbout Life Aboard\nDuring the day, as a guest, you’re warmly welcome to participate in the sailing as much as you’d like, or sit back and simply enjoy the experience, the company, and the surroundings—perhaps with a good book and a cup of coffee. Our dedicated crew will help you get settled, tell you about life on board, and let anyone who wants to help sail the ship.\nTogether with the other guests and the crew, you’ll form a diverse group, both in age and background. This usually creates a warm, family-like atmosphere on board where everyone feels welcome.\nGood food is an important part of life at sea, and our talented chef will serve you all your meals—and snacks in between! We promise you won’t be disappointed. Remember to let us know about any allergies or special dietary needs when you book!\nYou’ll sleep in a regular bed in our comfortable 2- or 4-berth cabins, which you’ll share with your fellow passengers. On board, you’ll find most of the amenities we’re used to: electrical outlets, a toilet, a shower, laundry facilities, and more.\nIf you have any questions before booking, check out our FAQs about sailing trips: www.briggentrekronor.se/seglingar-aventyr/fragor-svar/ \nWelcome aboard!
